Population Pyramid Of The Past History Essay - 1351 Words
Question 2 (b): Struggland is a less developed country, and from the population pyramid above I am able to tell you about the past, present (currently shown), and future of this country. If I were to project the population pyramid of the past history of Struggland, it would look similar to what it does now. You can tell because if you look at the middle and top ranges of this graph, it makes an even smaller pyramid: therefore one can assume that this developmental pattern continues as the time rewinds, having the smallest percent of populations for the oldest ages and the biggest percent at the age of kids. This ââ¬Ëpyramidââ¬â¢ structure that makes up the past and present population pyramids of Struggland is common among less developed countries because economy of LCDââ¬â¢s relies on farming. To maintain a farm one needs workers which are very expensive. By having large families, they can have their children work for free them. These large families lead to the pyramid shown, because the re are many people making up the age of the kids, with fewer as the age ranges increase. The estimated Future of Struggland looks more like a tall house or a rectangle with a smaller triangle on top. As Struggland develops and moves its way through the stages of the demographic transition, its economy will change. Instead of being based off of farming, it will advance to more industrial jobs because of the industrial revolution (or advancement of technology).
